FOSDEM: I did not meet anybody, who was specifically looking for the PowerPC Notebook project. Of course this did not prevent me talking about it :-) Reactions were very diverse. Many people did not even here about PPC and wondered why anyone needs a non x86 architecture machine. Many more knew about PowerPC, were enthusiastic about it due to Amiga or networking background, but had a long list of reasons to stick to an Intel Notebook. And of course there were a couple of people, who loved the idea and became interested to get one.
DevConf.cz is another great conference. There were many presentations and workshops related to PowerPC and a very welcoming environment. I was assured, that the Fedora PPC64 userland would run without any problems on the PowerPC notebook, we just need to provide it with a suitable kernel.
