Title: Configuring keyboard 79 (ISO) for PowerBook G4.
Post by: datoiradli on February 04, 2015, 09:33:39 PM
Hi! :)

I have been searching the solution to resolve keyboard setting 79 (ISO) for PowerBook G4. Due to the number eight character and the most crucial character 'x' its not working.

i run the following apps into terminal

#dpkg-reconfigure console-data
#dpkg-reconfigure keyboard- configuration

in keyboard-configuration setup there is generic option for selecting the right keyboard for PowerBook G4 (which is - the apps configuration refering MacBook /MacBook Pro. There is no 79(ISO) keyboard in the keyboard configuration. By default i am using PC105 keyboard layout which is too generic.

# udevadm trigger --subsystem-match=input --action=change

then i reboot the entire machine.
i found that after reboot the two issue that i mention above is not resolve yet. please advice. you may also contact me Skype white.heron79

Many thanks in advance.

I don't really understand what you try to do. Are you trying to make make you PowerBook G4 keyboard work with an OS other than Mac OS?
