A port of Darwin have not been discussed as far as I know. Darwin have from the beginning been PPC (correct me if I am wrong) and Open source (well...).

There are simple versions of Darwin and even versions with Gnome i doubt that anyone would put much energy into it but it would be cool to play around with if there would be a version for the Notebook.

I think any OS working on this notebook is good! However, Darwin, being licensed by Apple (even if it's public it is not GPL compatible), I don't think this system (by itself) will ever be as interesting as Linux or BSD in term of evolution and support.

I may be wrong though.

I totally agree that it will never be a very supported or very worked on system at all, but never the less it would be fun to play about with.

The effort to make computer where many operating system can boot, help for choice hardware most compatible and open. Happy Christmas.

I agree with that! The more open, the better! :)

As long as I can boot FreeBSD and Ubuntu MATE 14.04 PPC Edition I'll be very happy.
